This short documentary filmed over the course of a year reports on the progress of The Refugee Journalism Project, which aims to help migrant journalists gain access to the British media industry.
The project’s objective has been to bring more diversity into British journalism by integrating professional voices from the Middle East and other conflict-prone or authoritarian countries. It aims to provide a fair representation of each participant by giving them a voice to tell their stories alongside documenting how some are slowly breaking into the industry.
The documentary was produced by LCC students Aurore Kaddachi, Fabiana De Giorgio, James Cropper and Tanviya Sapru with the help of their supportive mentor, Beatrice Ní Bhroin.
